Greetings,

The new (to me) Cranbrook (48" 4Hx6T) is almost together and I am anxious to get weaving on "the Contraption."  I have five projects lined up - the first being a blanket for myself.  I had a 46" Schacht 8Hx10T a number of years ago and wove miles on it but never made one thing on it for myself.  I swore that when I was able to get another loom, the first project woudl be for me, me, me.

I would really like to make a full width of the loom blanket in a Huck Lace pattern using 5/2 perle cotton.

Will a universal tie-up work for this project , or will I need to do a traditional Huck Lace tie-up?  So far, I the only Cranbrook-related tie-up I have completed is my nerves when thinking about the proper way to do a Huck Lace tie-up.

A rag rug for my mother will be my second project.

Thanks and cheers!

You will need a tie-up specific to the huck pattern and threading you are using.  The only truly universal tie-up on a 4 shaft loom is direct tie but I suspect that is not what you meant.

Yes, I tied up a huck pattern.  All is well.
