I normally buy my 20/2 silk from WEBS, but have been frustrateed over the limited selection of colours, and I am NO DYER!!!  Trust me on this!   I am looking for a source for more colours, and, preferably NOT in skeins, but cones.

Anybody have some ideas?  I have tried all the "usual suspects" like Treenaway, Halcyon, Yarn Barn, etc etc.  Anything I've missed?

I am weaving a set of bookmarks in liturgical colours and would like to do a set in "rainbow" warps for the members of Episcopal cursillo.

thanks, Nancy C.

Have you checked Renaissance Dyeing http://www.renaissancedyeing.com/store_woad_silk/ I didn't get a chance to look around the entire site but I know they have silk, just not sure what size.  You can also write to them, they are one of our advertisers and their wool yarns  are a delight to weave with.

I'll keep my eyes open for other ideas.

Nancy, You might try Habu Textiles in NYC http://www.habutextiles.com/. Takako has imported silk yarns from Japan that she will put up on cones but if you find what you're looking for, it's likely to be very expensive. Habu has great yarns but isn't for the budget minded.

Please post back if you find a source.
