I just put a deposit down on a used 8 shaft Glimakra Standard with the Drawloom attachment. The lady wasn't really sure what was there, but she used it and all the parts are there (she hadn't used it in a long while). Meanwhile, I pick it up in a month...Can anyone recommend a good book to learn how to use the draw system?

Looking forward to this weaving path!

Congrats Mary, is it a shaft drawloom or single draw?  Either way my recommendation is start simple.  If you need any help email me. The book Damask & Opphamta is probably the most concise, I HIGHLY recommend Dress Your Swedish Drawloom by Becky Ashenden of Vavstuga. This walks you through the various types of drawloom equipment and damask, opphamta etc weaves.  I am also emailing you an older document or two that I found when I was starting out.

Not sure - i kinda of fell into it - having some desire to learn, but no knowledge to ask the right questions. The lady selling it didn't have too much info for me - so i bought it and will dive in. I pick up middle of August - Thanks for the docs - i appreciate it! : )
