Hey you guys,  it looks like I'm going to be able to buy a bigger loom,  so I've been looking on the internet and the Louet Spring, 12 harness, 40 ish inches wide might be pretty nice.  Does anyone have one?  I saw one for sale in Australia and the comment was that it was "a great loom for a smaller person"....and I'm 5'10"....so now I'm worried that it's the wrong dimension for me....I'm also doing a shout out to the Michigan weavers guild to see if anyone in the state has one that maybe they would let me come by and perhaps test drive it for a few minutes.  I contacted Louet and the closest dealer is in Kansas which is quite a drive for me.  Mostly I just don't want to make a mistake...this will probably be the last loom I get.  I have a 24 inch  4 harness  Norwood floor loom that was my grandmothers and I love how sturdy it is.    I have a 22 inch maccomber  8 harness which I love, but i'ts a bit rickety...I will probably fold it away and save it for workshops.  So I want a 12 harness...that's sturdy....that I'll love....any suggestions or comments? --Rebecca

Congrats on being in the market for brand new!  Check out Toika - they have the computerized countermarch or a 12 shaft Glimakra - they are both looms that are capable of many types of weaving, beautiful and durable!

My vote goes to Glimakra but I have never had an opportunity to try a Toika.  I like the idea of the worm gear on the Toika and believe that would be a nice asset.  I know Marian has a Louet Spring and you can PM her from her Profile page.

We hope to add Looms to the profile page early next year and it will make searching for who has what loom easier.
