I had a request for a Mobius to wear in the Arizona White Mountains in October.
The fabric needed to be "lacey" not dense and yet warm. I planned this Faux Mobius at 10 epi and left two dents in the reed between each of the colors. I treadled the two treadling sections in groups and left an estimated 1/2" space between each treadling section. I finished this project by leaving fringe on both ends and sewed one end over the other, leaving a space at the top so the top edge could roll back if desired. Since both sides are finished this Faux Mobius can be worn with either side out.
Shown is just one way to wear this shawl. The twisted portion could just as easily be worn in the front, or over the shoulder.
The finished weight of this project is 5 oz.
