Got a warp wound on the back beam and through the heddles, still need to sley the reed for very simple towels using a fibonacci striping sequence: 34-8-21 warp ends rotating the 4 colors through the warp. It's rare that I weave in plain weave, generally only when weaving chenille but I wanted these towels to be very simple plaids or stripes. I always weave towels using either 8/2 or 10/2 unmercerized cotton so using a 6/2 is also unusual for me but I picked up quite a big number of beautiful muted colors from Webs a number of months ago and want to try it out for towels. Am hoping to get back to the loom soon but will probably focus on dyeing part of this week and the county fair is the following week where I'll be demonstrating spinning all week.
