Notes

I put today's date on this entry because this is an on-going project in my studio, each one is one-of-a-kind & I enjoy exploring this form... The shawls pictured (along with the hand knit cap, also my design) were featured in the Convergence 2002 runway show in Vancouver, BC. Both are 2-block twill on 8 shafts, the larger one sett at 30 EPI  & treadled in ''Tango' rhythm (long, short-short-short, long-long, short-short-short. (I do lots of dance rhythms on my shawls & scarves, I used to teach  dancing classes) The shawl around dd's waist is woven with up-twisted wool weft, on a 20 EPI sett to obtain the shibori-like collapse effect- hard to see in these little pics but it has the charcteristic bouncy 'pleats'.)
