Organic Leaves Scarvesq

I designed these network draft scarves by taking an organic material, in this case a leaf, and tracing one half of it onto graph paper. After some modifications, I came up with a pattern that was perfect for the effect that I wanted…..then my computer closed the program I was working on it with…….grrrr. I quickly started over, not having saved the final ‘perfect’ draft and came up with the pattern you see here. :) The materials used in this first in my 2009 series of scarves is not organic, it is tencel which is a recycled tree pulp fiber. The idea of ‘organic’ comes from the pattern design origination. :)
