I just had to try and use the thrums from the Yoga Ribbon. So I grabbed my Wee Winnie, threw 7 ends of 5/2 pearl cotton on her. First a simple fringe with cut pieces, 3 anchoring picks between each ribbon pick. I sewed it in a spiral to a piece of buckram and then folded the excess buckram to hide any raw edges and stitched a pin back to it. The second piece is looped fringe using a longer length of ribbon. I pulled an edge thread to gather it and stitched it to a piece of buckram tucking under the beginning and end of the warp. I haven't decided what I'm going to do about the center of this, a button or a bead most likely, still thinking. But Oh My what a great way to use it all! And what a great little inkle. Elizabeth Jensen has wonderful ideas (with plans) in her book; it's entirely inspiring.
