has anyone tried making a warping mill/reel from pvc pipe?

The only problems that I could see is that PVC is a lot less stiff than wood; you would need quite a bit larger diameter pipe than you see in wooden mills.  You would also need to engineer the cross pieces (maybe wood there). Spinning wheels are made of PVC (Babe wheels).
