I just purchased 2, 48/16, air assist computer controlled Macombers from a lady that told me in an email that The looms had “no rust” well that is not the case. There is rust on the frames, heddle bars and lamms. When I asked her about the rust on the frames she told me, “I thought that is just were the paint came off”. I was also told that there was a walkway to the loom. What she didn’t tell me was the walkway was long and on a steep hill. Well “we” pushed the loom up the hill and with her help I was able to get one loom on my truck. A 48/8 mac weights 325lbs this loom had 8 more frames and the air equipment. Today I had my son along to get the other loom and a very large Leclerc tapestry loom. She offer to sell me the tapestry loom. But after I pointed out the rust and she knew I was not happy she gave me the tapestry loom. Now I was hoping to flip these looms quick. Now I have to restore them as they are both sold as “rust free” looms. Remember, “Buyer beware”.

“Both looms have double apron back beams not sectional Each loom has a reed. If I have extra reeds I will give you those also. Looms are both usable as is as a treadle loom with no rust. The finish on one loom is darker than other loom.

Pictures are attached.

I also have a Nilus LeClerc tapestry loom upright about same size if you are interested. Has some rust and back beam has slight crack.
