I received an email this morning asking about the condition of the current UKI yarns. I spoke with the plant and they have not gotten any complaints or feed back about any problems. I have sold 100s of pounds of UKI yarn since they went to a new dye house (the old dye house could not keep up with UKIs production). Here is part of the email if anyone has had a problem I want to know about it.

”….. I purchased the 5/2 from Yarn Barn of Kansas, Cotton Clouds and Halcyon during this project. My first batch from YB had such a horrible moldy/musty odor that I had to return it and they promptly credited me. After I spoke with Cotton Clouds and Halcyon, I purchased additional yarn. I was told that UKI is using a different dye/processing house and the smell was a machine oil from the processing. (But, it still smells like old musty yarn to me). I definitely do not feel the problem comes from any of these retailers!!…..”
