The title says it all - does anyone apart from me monitor this group at all? I know there are lots of Aussies and Kiwis active on Weavolution and I ask myself if the group serves any real purpose. Should it just be shut down? One purpose it may serve is if it kept/re-purposed to keep a list of active weaving/spinning communities and suppliers. What do you fellow antipodeans think?

I did a random sampling of the 69 members. Some members have been on in the last few days, others have not been on in quite some time. I think this group can serve the purposes you state Hakim. It may also be a good resource for sharing information on LYS.

While I'm here I'll put in a call for overall assistance. As American Expats living in the UK, we are aware of potential advertisers in the US, UK and Europe. However, we, the owners of Weavolution, are not experts in weaving suppliers in the Southern Hemisphere. Please feel free to e-mail a list of your favorite suppliers, so we can invite them to advertise here.

Happy Weaving,

Erica, I think a list of suppliers etc is definately called for. There is nothing like local knowledge. Unfortunately I am very new to the weaving community so will contribute what I can. I can start messaging group list members to see if we can have a more comprehensive list.

Messaging the group members is a great idea, as that will generate an e-mail message. I would also start a group post, so people can come back here and publically discuss their favorite shops!

Cheers,
