do you know where your loom is? Just finished tying on the towel warp so weaving can begin tomorrow - I was supposed to be blocking a knitted scarf tonight but decided I needed to get this warp on the loom. Will do the tie-up tomorrow and start the sample - and hopefully get part of the first towel done. How is everyone else doing?

Monday - checked and re-checked all my calculations

Tuesday - the mohair yarn arrived

Wednesday - wound the warp

Thursday - started dressing the loom; found out mohair warp doesn't like, rather, hates, lease sticks

Friday - try to finish winding warp onto back beam, inch by inch coaxing the mohair to let go of lease sticks so the warp can move on through

Then I came home and spun some more -- it's weft for a rather insane project.  I discussed strategy with the other weavers for the Sunday event where I'll weave, not spin.  Tomorrow, though, I want to get enough woven on the loom I'm taking to have the pattern memorized.

On day 1 I received a fleece for a commission piece -- a throw from a person's flock.    If she says I can use commercial warp I'll get on warping the big loom and spinning her fleece, so by the time I run out of warp on the Baby Wolf I'll be ready to go.

I don't expect another lapse of fiber activity until maybe next week -- and I promise to try to be good.

I wov the minimum the first few days. Yesterday our son  had his first shots. This meant that he has napped a lot the last two days, he result I got to weave a lot in the last two days. In fact I wove 10" today.

Now I have 20" left to weave on my shawl and 2 days left inn my weekend. If I can repeat those 10" Sunday and Monday I'll be done with the weaving!

Wish me luck,

Erica

endorph

is doing so well with their daily activity. I am getting ready to weave in a few minutes - hope to try and get several inches done on towel number one tonight!
