Rainbow scarf

I doubled the warp over (enough for two scarves) and painted it, starting red at one end, then through purple, blues, and greens then back to red again at the other end.

For the weft, I used a variety of fine wool yarns from my stash; some commercially dyed, some hand-dyed by me to get the additional colour range to gradate the weaving through the rainbow colours. I used two strands together, which gave me more flexibility to grade the colour combinations through the rainbow.

The draft is an extended twill.
