Rugs

I'm weaving some rugs for gifts. One will be for a friend's 50th birthday. I did 5 colors in the warp to signify this and will try to do 5 picks of each the sock loopers and the selvedges on her rug.

For the 50th birthday, I had the 5 colors of warp to signify 50 and I alternated 5 picks of the sock loopers and tan selvedge in the weft to also signify 50. In the center I had two sets of  10 picks for a total of 20 to also signify (5 X 10).
Finished length: 38"  (length on loom: 45")
Width: 36" on and off loom

For the 51st birthday, I also had the 5 colors of warp to signify 50 and I alternated 5 and 1 picks of the sock loopers and tan selvedges for the weft.
Finished length: 40" (length on loom: 47.5)
