pomegranate: hand spun singles in a warp-faced cloth

This started with a bar batt, silk and wool,  from Stringtopia.  I spun it up into a very textured singles yarn, half s-spun, half z-spun.  I warped the cat loom with both yarns and used the remainder for weft.  When I needed more weft, I spun some red merino then a bit of another bar batt.  This was a trial to see if the singles would stand up to abuse of warp-faced weaving.  The weaving has lots of warts and flaws but I am inordinately fond of it.  I like how it looks and feels and now feel like tackling a a project with hand spun singles.
