I'm working on the UK Certificate of Achievement, similar to the COE! Remember you don't have to do the samples in the order their listed. Just make sure you keep to the specifications, measurments etc. You should determine your own order of samples. Start where you're comfortable and then work on the other samples from there!

I have started to work toward the HGA COE - Master Weaver. Am on Level 1 and hope to submit next August (2012). At the moment, I am completing Part 1 = Design Elements and Principles while starting Part 3 = Handweaving Techniques. The first samples for Part 3 are tapestries, and I've never done a tapestry! Words of wisdom and encouragement would be welcome.
