Peaceful Valley Orchards Outdoor Farm Loom

Here is an outdoor Farm Loom I modified from a photo in Mary Jane's magazine. It was one of several innovative projects which welcomed visitor participation on Strawberry & Pig Roast Day at Peaceful Valley Orchards in Pittstown, NJ. The kids completed painting the rain barrel and compost bin art and the Farm Loom is still available for weaving. The natural wefts of wildflowers, cattails and herbs have survived many rain storms and are being held in place by a nylon crochet thread warp. There is an instruction sheet tied to the loom for new weavers. "Weave Your Garden into a Wall Hanging or Jewelry" is a 1.5 hour workshop offered on August 21 for adults and young adults. "Weave Flowers into a Bracelet" is a 1.5 hour workshop offered for 6-9 year olds on August 17. We look forward to weaving with you at Peaceful valley Orchards!
