Troy Towels

Woodstock Weavers Guild Challenge 2008: Towel exchange. The draft for these towels was drawn out on 8 shafts, but it can also be worked on 4 shafts. Just move shafts 5 to 8 onto 1 to 4 and use the same treadling. I was testing the 8 shaft Lillstina loom for the first time, and wanted to use all 8 shafts and all 8 lift levers, but the pattern can be done with just 4 shafts and 4 treadles if you wish. The heavier cotton flake is very absorbent, and Noho is mercerized so it has some sheen. This bold twill looks great in bright colors.
