Three shaft point twill

I had not been weaving for several weeks due to other priorities so it was time to pull out some stash and try a different style. I chose a 3 shaft twill from the Dixon "Handweavers Pattern Directory" page 204 and as most times it turns out I learn by doing. It did not take long to see my first sample was not creating the draft pattern - so I pulled it all out and rethreaded the heddles. The warp is all UKI cotton natural sett at 30 epi in a 10 dpi reed. My weft choices were UKI cotton in hot pink, red and blue bamboo, light blue and green 2ply rayon. After I take it to show at the next guild meeting I will most likely send this to stepdaughter in Old Town, Me. and let her make patches to sew on quilts.
