Splash Shawl

Ms and Ws draft on page 36 -#154 of A Weaver’s Book of 8 shaft Patterns edited by Carol Strickler is the draft… adapted to create larger blocks. Tied new warp on to warp for Pune’s shawl using perle cotton in plain blue alternating with variegated blues, greens and violets. Chose 3 of my handspun yarn in teals, yellow green and violet as the weft…. Alternate 2 and then add 2 shots of the other occasionally. I was hoping the pattern would show more… It’s pretty subtle, but it’s a wrap that I know I’ll use a lot. Actually it was quite a therapeutic project as I wound the warp and wove it after I had received some troublesome health news. It was wonderful having this project to focus on and itmbecame very soothing throwing the shuttle. I’m on the mend now… So all is well!
