I'd be happy to offer suggestions if I can. but I need more info. Can you tell me the reed size, EPI, the yardage of the yarn per pound, and the weave structure you tried? - Was it plain weave or something else?

I think I would also add that ordering a rayon chenille kit from Jane Stafford Textiles would be a good choice if rayon chenille is giving you problems. Sometimes it's easier to do what works rather than trying to reinvent the wheel. Check out her website - her kits are outstanding in materials and instructions, and she is just an email away if you need more specific help!

She has a book all about weaving with chenille.  You can also see where she has very generously shared her knowledge if you do a search in the yahoo weaving forum. Fringing was my nemesis - lots of worms after wet finishing, aargh!

This is a Jane Stafford pattern, woven on my Leclerc Fanny in plain weave. The same warp, with 2 different main weft colors. These have amazing drape after being hand washed and finished.
