This was a dishtowel kit I purchased from Lunatic Fringe ("Aluhring Towels") last summer at Convergence. I needed something mindless to weave after completing a series of 8 overshot place mats. I believe the ultimate supplier of this organic cotton is Sally Fox of Foxfibre.
When finished and washed with detergent, the colors will deepen, most especially the darker beige that is supposed to become much more green.
This not my first time weaving with organic cotton, and it feels great. I am having fun diverging from the treadling given in the kit. Coincidentally, this project was started the day BEFORE the current issue of Handwoven (on natural fibers) arrived in my mailbox!
I got 9 generous towels from this warp + 9-10 oz leftover! Great kit!
