My husband Bob and I just returned home from vacation.  While traveling, we made contact with Lou and Betty, weavers in Arkansas, and were able to set up a visit.  It is fun to meet new friends, and I would encourage everyone to make contact with other weavers if you are traveling around the country.  I liked the photo that Bob snapped of Lou, Betty, and me (in my Weavolution shirt).

Let me guess, northwest Arkansas, right?  Lol, not very many down here in the south east part of the state.

Jen, it was near Flippin and Bull Shoals.  Lou is a member on here.  That's how I found him.

Jen's guess is good -- there is both a weavers' guild and a spinners' guild in NW AR.  Contact me/them if you're through here again.

THE OZARK WEAVERS (not verified)

Weav'n was PRIME, but we mixed in local-interest, log-home-bldg, RR'n & good-eat'n, so it was VERY-ENJOYABLE-TIME-FOR-ALL ! ! !

Speaking of Fiber Arts good times, have any fiber artists on this thread been spinners or weavers for any of the 150th Civil War battles so far?

I'll be spinning, weaving, or both at the Battle of Prairie Grove in December.  It's a good way for interested fiber arts folks that come to look to meet others who are there as background.

You may want to start a new post about this, with a title referring to it, and more details about dates and location, so others can hear about it.
