Levi's Homage Purse

Fifth semester weaving class protocol was Summer & Winter.  I wanted a casual purse to wear with jeans and was intrigued by a design in the Handwoven Design Collection #20 for "A Weaver's Bag in Raanu".  I used the basic purse pattern but adapted it for Summer & Winter weave.  Check out the top part of the strap; it's wrapped instead of woven.  I lined it with old jeans material, including a back pocket for those small items.  And, as a final touch, I put pennies on the railroad tracks, watched them being smashed, punched holes in them and used them as beads at the end of the fringe.
