Jayhawk Scarves (3)

My husband is a Jayhawk clear to the bone.  Born and bred in Kansas and wouldn't have considered any other school than KU. He is also not an easy one for whom to design and make hand-made gifts, but when I saw this variegated cone of rayon at CNCH on the Robin & Russ table, I knew I had a winner.  I wound on enough warp for three scarves; a straight 2-2 twill, a straight 3-1 twill and a and a zig-zag 2-2 twill.  He picked the zig-zag twill and I gave another to his best friend, also a KU grad. They wear them to all the KU game "watch parties" here in San Francisco and are the envy of their fellow alums.  The third went into a silent auction for Seacology after the tsunami disaster a few years ago and was the object of a bidding war.
