Additional Source Info

Warp patterned rep uses warp floats to make pattern on the surface of the cloth, on the right side. The wrong side has weft floats. A thicker pattern weft in this example enhances the pattern.

More information can be found in "Warp and Weft" by Eriksson, Gustavsson and Lovallius. Not many sources out there on this style of rep.

Notes

The second image has more detail that looks like halftoning. It's simply the density of + signs in the warp that gives the effect. There is no option to post a second WIF file, sorry.

This is blooming leaf overshot motif applied to rep threading (and tromp as writ) and tie-up. The threading was not balanced in Ed Worst's book, but Sullivan's book has a more proportionate threading. Basically, shaft 1 (bottom) threaded between each pattern thread, same happens for treadling sequence using treadle 5 between each pattern pick. Tie-up same in both.

This is not color effect blocks.
