This post caught my eye at once! If anyone didn't catch your presentation at Complex Weavers Seminars this summer (on how these garments are created on loom), I can highly recommend it.

I hope I get to see this in person at a weaving conference this summer - the Weaving History Conference or NEWS, etc.

And I think I already got a glimpse of the new site. (But don't forget to "remind" us of new work by posting here from time to time.)

That is truly stunning!  I didn't go to Convergence...will you be at MAFA or EGLFC?  Would love to learn this technique!

Thank you all for the kind comments. No, I only have one conference planned - the weaving history conference in Clayton in May. And yes, I will bring this to that conference.

I looked at the conference at a glance, Sally.  Am I missing something?  Are you presenting there?  Will there be classes there or just lectures/presentations?

SallyE (not verified)

No, I'm not presenting.   I just wear my things there.

This conference is about weaving history, and my stuff is definitely not historic!

Thanks, Sally. Do let us know if you'll be presenting anywhere.

I'm not presenting, but I am teaching a short (1.5 day) class in 3D weaving for the Weavers Guild of RI in May. I also do lectures from time to time, which you can learn about at my web site: sallyeyring.com Thanks!

Notes

This is my latest 3d woven piece of clothing.   The sleeves and sholders were woven together on one warp.   (The gathers were woven in as the sholders were woven.)  The back and front was woven on a separate warp that was wider than the warp for the sleeves and sholders.

I haven't posted in a long time, but wanted to tell people that I'm consolidating my web life and have a new web site:    sallyeyring.com.

That site has all of my work and will eventually be the only place I post.
