I must def. start working on the drafts in that book. Wow.

Thank you for the compare / contrast photo  - it helps to show the changes you made.

I love how you're doing these classics in miniature for projects. I enjoy seeing the patterns so much but seldom do I see them as they are generally reserved for coverlets, I believe. So thanks for bringing these patterns to " glory" once again , in such a beautiful way :) Cathie

The pattern in these look so much like Norwegian sweaters - I just love them!  On to your blog to learn the details.

These towels are stunning to me, both the before AND after. I'm an advocate of using lovely dish towels, but, gee, these are suitable for framing, and wouldn't that be gorgeous in the kitchen!?

With each towel a different color, this project looks like it was fun to weave! I agree, I am a fan of miniature patterns too.

Notes

This warp began as "Norse Kitchen" from Marguerite Porter Davison's book A Handweaver's Pattern Book. I was not happy with the resulting towels (see my previous project). So I cut off the first few towels and rewrote the draft in miniature. You can see the "before" (blue towel) side by side with the "after" (red towel) in the photo above. Working through this problem was loads of fun.
