I visited your class on the Saturday open class night and was very interested to see some of the output from the class, so I'm really glad you posted! I am a huge admirer of Polly Barton's work. Your scarf is lovely and the close up really shows the weft Ikat. The golden yellow color is quite elegant but I was surprised about the logwood. I never would have known if you hadn't said. Great project! Virginia

Virginia,

Thank you for your comments.  The logwood was a quick dip to darken and desaturate the yellow.  I'm very pleased and ready to try more.

Notes

Dyed the warp and weft at MAFA 2013 in the Polly Barton Ikat workshop.  Inspiring as well as good basic information on planning and dyeing warp and weft ikat.

Used bayberry (yellow) on warp and weft and Logwood (purple) on warp to darken
