Very nice. I have a small loom that would be perfect for those! Thank you for the inspiration! Have a good day!

Thank you so much francorios!  It is funny that you said you have a 'small' loom.  My looms just keep on getting bigger.  That was one of my problems for this project.  My tools were all too big.  I need a small sword desperately.  Definitely on my to do list...build small loom.

I was also thinking the tapestry could be glued to a rigid flat bracelet so there would be no need for a closure. I'm starting a piece on an 8 x 10 inch crosstitch frame with continuous warp. I'll be posting pictures in a couple of days. Have a good day!

No glue for me.  It crystalizes and eventually gives out.  It can also deteriorate the yarn itself...so for me I like that the bracelet is complete when it comes off the loom all except for the button.  The button hole wasn't difficult at all.  There is also no problem if it gets wet, Just dry it out.  My bracelets always seem to get wet.  This way I just let it dry out and I can wear it again tomorrow.  It would break my heart if it came off of the rigid bracelet with glue all over the back of it.  Also, this one is for my personal wearing and I don't even feel it on my arm it is so light.  Every rigid bracelet I ever wore bothers my arm, even the handbeaded peyote stitch bracelets I have made.  The more rigid (especially the wide ones) the more they bother me.  I prefer jewelry I that doesn't constantly draw my attention to it.  This is just a preference all of my own though.  I am sure it would LOOK lovely on a rigid frame.

You just weave the buttonhole as a gap right? Maybe put two button holes for adjustment? Have a good day!

Yeah I probably would put two holes / gaps if I didn't know who I was making it for.  Mostly though I would get measurements from the person and go from there.  This one was for me, made it a little easier.

This would be a lovely way to sample for a larger project. It could also easily be done as pin weaving with no need for finishing the ends at all. (although  I love the fringes on this one). The buttonhole is a great touch.

Notes

I have made myself crazy trying to do a woven bracelet! I saw one and just had to have one for myself. The one I saw was even weave, I have indeed even seen warpface woven bracelets. I tried both on my tapestry loom and did get serviceable results. After enough practice at the closure and the length and width, and enough aggravation trying to get these weaves on a tapestry loom, I finally decided to do a 'Tapestry' bracelet. I am VERY pleased! Now when I hand out a business card for my workshops, or my web sites, I will take handwoven card holder out of a handwoven handbag while wearing a handwoven bracelet! How KEWL is that?
