Endlessly fascinating - diamonds,  s shapes, greek keys all seem to appear depending on the angle.  Great work as usual.

Really beautifull scarves Ellen. Fun pattern too with the meander life in it. I'v got lo look up the VM 3/04.

I love all the insiration here at Weavolution. But how good to see a pattern in centimetres. I've got some problem changeing from inch to cm.

Ellen, these are beautiful!!!  I just wound a 14 yd warp for a run of Dornick twill scarves, but I'm not sure they want to be woven.....many many speedbumps so far, and now I'm getting abrasion of the tencel and it's producing an ugly fuzzy scarf.....Back to square one......I may try the paperclip temple idea since my smallest temple is not small enough.

This weaving *does* challenge me!!!!  But your scarves reminded me why I started this project.  I do love all the wonderful variations of twill!  I was very close to choosing the block twill like your scarves!  ...another warp.......

Thanks! :-) The original was done in silk, which I could not afford at the time, but they came out finen in mercerized cotton, too.

Yes I know what you mean. I have a pocket calculator ready whenever I do English/American projects, but the inch/cm is not all you have to convert. Still, it is worth the effort. I agree, this site is great!

Hi, Linda!

Sorry to hear of your troubles! I hope you get into smooth waters. I have tried such things, believe me!!!  I once nearly scrapped a fortune worth of silk for a shawl that behaved like that. Just don't let it get you too distressed.

Best of luck with the next warp :-)
