Although this might not be the most fun thing to weave in massive quantities, I think it looks really intriguing in the photo!

Was there any thought to the acoustic properities of the materials originally used, or did you factor that into the reproduction cloth? (If you can tell us...)

I have a fair amount of experience with the acoustical properties of cloth, as it turns out.  To make it as simple as possible:  if you can blow through it, sound will pass through it.  If you can't or it is difficult to do, it will absorb sound.  I have been commissioned to make both sound-transmitting and sound-absorbing cloth at one time or another.

I just thought this might be a good spot to place images of these historic fabrics in case anyone else takes the same weaverly path. I also have an image with no flash that may reveal detail a bit better. I had no idea they could be so decorative!

This is cloth for Philco radios, vacuum tube era.  The draft is something I may not post.  Sorry.

I was given the wrong information so I had to warp 45 yards twice.  But having done that I have woven it all off, measuring 42 yards 30" measured on loom.
