If anyone who owns either of these two types can just respond with approx diameter of the metal brake drum on the back warp beam I would appreciate it.

Dawn - I have an old Artisat 36 inch floor loom.  The diameter of the outside rim of the drum is 13.5 inches.  The outside width is 7/8 inch.  The inside portion (where the steel band is wound) appears to be less than 1/4 inch deeper than the outside rim.  Hope this helps.
