Has anyone woven with a nylon thread warp?  I have a project in mind for a wall hanging, sett 12 epi with 1.2 mm nylon thread.  Then I got to thinking about how a non-stretching thread will not make a shed on a rising shed loom.  If anyone has any experience with nylon thread warp to share I would be grateful.

Never used nylon, but I have used polyester which in itself has less stretch. It was overlock thread at 64 epi.

You got a shed then.  Did it bend up your heddles any?  Was it a tough experience?

I use a countermarche. Wasn't hard to weave. And never broke a thread. But it was some fine for my eyes when threading. :D At the time I didn't have a sectional and only put on a short warp.

I had 2 or 3 errors in the threading, but it didn't matter for this sample. I just wanted to see what it would look like.

I can imagine. The closest sett.for me has been 24 epi.  Thanks for the info.  I am emboldened enough to try the nylon.
