Hi,

I just finish to sley the reed and I notice that my warp is not perfectly centered in the reed.  It is a 34 inches wide warp so, before undo everything, I would like to know if it is really a necessary to correct this mistake or should I continue and tye everything to the apron rod and begin weaving.  Thank you !

Not a big deal. Leave it as it is. It really only matters if you are using end feed shuttles and your warp is narrower than your shuttle. One selvedge will be different. You might notice a slight difference on one edge but I kind of doubt it given the width of your warp.

I wouldn't worry about the reed, but I might if the warp is not centred with the shafts and the loom, you will have shafts dipping (lower shaft bar) on one side because of balance and this might snag an adjacent shaft.

Hoe far off centre is it? If it is only a few inches it should not be a problem. Cheers Laura

I will use a standard shuttle and it is just 1 1/4 inche far of the center.  I was worried that the warp begins to pull on one side.  Your reply gave me confidence that everything will be all right.
