I have a Kromski 32" RH loom. It came with a long cord that loops around the dowel to hold the warp. I understand that the old method that Kromski used was to cut this cord up into even pieces and then heat connect each together into a loop. I don't want to cut this cord up at this point and I have read that other RH looms use Texsolv to attach the dowel to the warp beam instead. Looking up Texsolv I see that there are two different types - one that is standard and one that is heavyduty for warp beams. The heavyduty seems to be for large floor looms and is rather expensive over the standard that can be found for $1.50 a yard. the heavyduty with shipping will cost over $60 For those who are using Texsolv to tie on their warp dowels to the warp beam, are you using the heavyduty or the standard TexSolv?

Is there something else that is more readily available that can be used to tie the dowel on with. I spend more time trying to get the loops on the cord even so that the warp dowel sits at the same distance from the heddle than I do warping the loom. I have to find a better way. All help is appreciated.

Thank you!
