I'm not new to weaving ...but have never used tencel.  Any opinions about this fiber...ease of use, strength for a warp or any input on using tencel.  I was hoping to weave a shawl but would appreciate any info before I order. Thanks

I love tencel, esp 8/2. It dyes really nicely with fiber reactive dyes and it great for warp. I rarely have any breakage which is nice when weaving at 45epi.

Tencel likes higher humidity when used as warp.  If you live in an arid climate you might want to run a humidifier.  If you live in a humid climate you should have no problems.  :)

This is one of my favourites, too. I very occasionally have a floating selvedge wear and snap, but apart from that there's no problems at all. I mainly use 8/2 pre-dyed. I'm no expert by any means, but would thoroughly recommend this one.

If you haven't already done so, check out some of Davewhiz's projects.

I have had no issues with Tencel as warp and or weft - I have heard it is not too hard wearing but for shawls and scarves it is fine.  Dyes easily and has a nice drape.
