I have a friend who is selling a Structo table loom.  It looks to be in usable shape.  It is wooden and has 4 heddles.  I'd like to offer her a fair price (she has no idea) but am not ready to buy it if it's too expensive either.  Anyone have any idea what a fair price would be?

Thanks for any help that comes this way!

It would depend on condition and if all the parts are there. If the reed is rusty and needs to be replaced, that might cost you $50. Also, the loom should have the beam cranks (sometimes these are missing), and some models have regular beams, some have hex beams designed to work with spools. There is online help for converting the hex (spool) beam to a regular beam if needed, but that also will a small investment in the loom after purchase. Each shaft should have 60 heddles if this is the 240 model. (Wood and metal, about 24" width.) Hope that helps you and your friend determine a fair price.
