I just purchased a book of patterns for a rigid heddle loom, and am wondering if they can be used on a floor loom?

I apologize if this is a silly question, but I am very new to the world of weaving!!

RH patterns are usually 2 shaft.

So I googled Converting rigid Heddle patterns to the shaft loom.... Ask Madeline (from Interweave) gave a lengthy response back on 11/7/12 that expands Sally’s response.
