I want to use my Barbara IV loom for a warp rep project.  This loom has a large warp beam made of paddles, which is usually is a sectional warp beam.  This is not.  I could make it into a sectional beam, but I would prefer not to.  I warp a regular beam with sticks, which will not work with these paddles.  Has anyone had experience with doing a rep warp using heavy consstruction paper for separation?  The last time I warped this loom, I used window screen for separation, but it makes a very large warp package.  I've never worked with rep before.

I use heavy construction paper from Home Depot and about every other rotation I put in a stick. I haven't had any problems.

When you say "wrp rep", I (the Swede) automatically think of the standard Swedish quality: cotton 16/2 sett at something like 36 ends/cm (about 90 ends/inch). I would be worried that paper is too flimsy for that... but I haven't tried.

Kerstin, that is the about the sett and yarn size that I am working with.  I think that the construction paper is more like card stock than paper.  Construction people use it on surfaces they want to protect.  I have never used paper, but I did use window screen on the last warp, because sticks will not work with this beam. (They fall off the paddles).
