I just wanted to show what I've done lately! This is going in a new post since the other Member Gallery thread is really long.

These are two projects that I did recently. Both were sort of sampler pieces, originally intended to be bags, but they didn't quite work out when I finished the weave. Live and learn, I guess. But then I was able to combine them and.....

I was hoping to put backstrap projects in the bag, but it doesn't expand out enough to take the bulkiness of a rolled up project, so instead it'll become a tool bag. I rather like it, even if the supplementary weft section has an atrocious number of mistakes (I dislike redoing weaving, and since it wasn't anything official I didn't put much effort into making it perfect).

So that's what I've been up to lately! Anyone else have something neat they've made recently?

I was cruising around in the group just now and I can't believe that I missed this post! I am guessing that you are home from school for a bit and wove these?? They are great. You seem to have found just the right supp weft to warp ratio. the pre columbian design looks great.Mine is STILL on the loom! I hope you have looong holidays and can weave more.

I was actually at school when I wove this; I've found the perfect place to set up at the end of my bed (the bunking frame has horizontal slates, perfect for tying up for weaving and warping!). I just finished this afternoon my latest project: 2 card-woven bookmarks made of sewing thread. It'd been so long since I'd done card-weaving, and I rather missed it! It took a bit of trial and error, since I erred on the warping a bit, so the first one didn't turn out how it was supposed to. However, the second one did work, thankfully. It's a Celtic knot pattern. They are going to be Christmas gifts for my sister, which caused issues when I actually was home for Thanksgiving break and couldn't weave because she was always there!

Now I'm just trying to decide what project I should do next. I have some cotton yarn which I bought a while back when I was having a bad day and decided to treat myself to some fun colors. I've decided it's finally time to use it, but I haven't decided what exactly it will be yet!
