I was messing with the live weight brake for the upper warp beam on my AVL and decided to take the cord out of the toggle and redo it.  One end of the cord had extra knots and frayed parts, which I cut off to clean it up.  I knowI didn't have to undo the whole thing, but I was also going to replace the spring and decided to go this route to avoid finding a tool to bend the end of the spring to get it off the cord.  I now regret this decision because I'm having trouble getting the cord through the toggle again.  On the other brake, the cord gets wrapped around and through the toggle 3 times.  I got it through twice and one end through the third time, but I can't get the other end through the third time.  How do others do this?  Or do I need to worry about it?

I hope my description is good enough for everyone to understand my question.

Thanks,

Tina

My husband came up with the idea to use a needle to pull thread through the cord and draw it through using that.  It worked like a charm.  Well, it still required a little fiddling but it only took a couple of minutes.  I don't know why I didn't think of that right away.

Glad you got it fixed.  I think Doug did the same thing for my loom when we had to replace the brake spring...

cheers,
