stripes of color - can't wait to see the finished product - I really liked the first on you did!

I love your choice of yarn. Not only is it colorful but it also adds texture. I have wanted to try some of this type of yarn but was afraid that the irregular texture would not pass through the reed. Any tips on choosing a texture that will pass through the reed without getting torn?

Thank you!
Depends on your reed size of course, but I am currently using a 10 dent and soft textured yarns seems to pass through without any problems.  My heddles are inserted eye heddles so that helps as well.

I have had good luck with ribbon yarns, ladder yarns and ricrac rayon.  Only trouble I have encountered is with slub yarns that have large slubs.  They catch and come apart.

Love the contrast of colours with the black, looking forward to seeing the finished piece.

Notes

Since I decided to keep the first one for myself, I'm making another for the WVAL show next week in Wimberley.
