The design is terrific! Is it original? I am looking forward to seeing the finished mats. I like that you aren't putting the circles everywhere, saving them for the borders, I assume.

Hi Claudia, I love your circles.  I've read that circles are the most difficult shape to achieve in needlework- because you are working within a grid, trying to make curves

This is my first overshot project. It's been fun and I have learned lots about this weave structure. I doubled the 5/2 cotton in the weft and used it single in the warp. It looks crisper with it that way. The placemats should be done today.
