Hello everyone!

I am the proud owner of 2 Macomber looms, both purchased used in the last month.  I first found a 32" B5 that was used in a college program.  The heddles are every which way and probably need to be replaced.  Plus, it has a sectional warp beam.  I called Macomber and they are making me a new plain beam.  Then i found a 48" B4 in excellent shape.  The 32" was made in 1965.  Good thing we have room for both!  I am a real novice, but have done a lot of work with fiber. I am taking a class on a small table loom, and that is helpful.  I am very excited to get started once I gather all the xtras needed.  My husband, a woodworker, is making me a warping board.

You could have just removed the pins from the sectional beam and turned it into a great plain beam. I have done this on a number of looms that I have sold over the years. Where do you live? I will put you in touch with a guild in your area.

Enjoy weaving on your Macomber and check out these photos showing how to dress a Macomber loom over on my Macomber group on Ravelry.
