Yes, each loom has the name of the weaver from whom I acquired it, so their name and energy lives on.  This is Grace, a 10-Harness Macomber. Here, I am just now ready to weave in header.  Since I am doing yardage and have no need to fringe, I have lashed on my warp to save several inches ....most helpful for that expensive silk!

I invite you to join the Macomber Group here on Weavo.

Greetings, Michael,  Please tell me more about it.  I am a Macomber fan. I have 9 looms in my studio in constant states of progress and eight of them are Macombers!

I have a 56 year old 4 harness macomber and it has so issues. I am trying to decide to repair or replace. My beater board is off on one side by about 3-4 inches. Any thoughts?

You need to adjust the beater cams. The beater sits on a cam that can be adjusted. First make certain the beater is sitting in the same slot on both sides (there are 2 slots) when with a wrench on the inside of the beater upright move the cam(cams) untill the beater is even. Measure from the top of the castle cross bar. Come join the Macomber group. On the top orange box go to groups and type in Macomber and hit join.
