I was recently given an old loom, and was told it was made by Toika, But I havent been able to find any information about it. I have found similar looms to the one I have, but they are a swedish brand.I am still gathering parts for the one I have, But I think it would be easier if I knew what was here, and what is not. I am a newbie and trying to learn all I can, My camera's battery is charging, so I will take better pictures later, But for now, This is what my loom looks like, Does anyone recognize it ? Thanks in advance for any and all help/ advice! :)

Could it be a Varpapuu, Berga or Ullman?

I have Bergå Savonia loom from Vp - and the loom in this picture does not look like my loom, hence not a Bergå loom

If there are treadles and no lamms, it could be a Normalo.  Finnish sinking shed loom.

I have one in storage that is not the current X-frame style, like the one in the photo.  Look at the overhead "jacks" and see if the are fitted for the hooks that hold the springs/bungees.

Pic of the jacksI know that some of the wood pieces on the top are broken and will need to be replaced. I am still learning what everything is called on a loom, do they have a specific name?

Manufacturer's web page - in Finnish

This is a "reverse" jack loom.  Warps are held up, above the imaginary line that runs from the back beam to the breast beam.  Depress a treadle and the selected warps go down, forming a sinking shed between the upper, stationary warps and the lowered warps.  The treadled shafts when released, return to the upper position by the overhead jacks using bungees or screen door springs between those upper bits on the jacks.
