Notes

This log cabin pattern was the next project on the list as I'm working my way through Mary Black's A New Key to Weaving.  Done in 50/50 cottolin from the Mannings.  This is the same yarn as sold by Web's Valley Yarns.  I like the yarn, but it is somewhat uneven and has slubs.

Mary Black has log cabin listed as an unbalanced weave.  In her examples, she uses a larger weft thread for every other shot.  A picture of her swatch is in the Nova Scotia Archies: http://www.gov.ns.ca/nsarm/virtual/black/archives.asp?ID=25

I'm not sure if I like the look of log cabin as an unbalanced weave. Does anyone know if that is the traditional way it was woven?
